Want to know my secret to lose weight? Aside from my GERD Diet Meal Plan, which I'm on treatment for 1 year,  I also have this diet plan that helps not only for those who have a GERD problem, but also for those who wanted to lose 5lbs a week!

April 28, I was diagnosed with GERD. After a week, my doctor stop my medication, but advised to religiously follow the treatment instructions for 1 year. You know the "Does and Don't" food to eat. 😥😢😂


Aside from food, treatment plan includes my daily exercise. And that time our city is under ECQ and because I love dancing, I sign up for TikTok as my zumba guide instructor. 😂👌 I have so many dance instructors that help me a lot with my treatment. Follow me @Dancersraine 😊😘 


5 Day Apple Diet Meal Plan


APPLES have always been my constant partner since I was diagnosed with 
Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) is a digestive disorder that occurs when acidic stomach juices, or food and fluids back up from the stomach into the esophagus. GERD affects people of all ages—from infants to older adults. People with asthma are at higher risk of developing GERD.


Apple has a fat-loss accelerator and are high in fiber. The saying, "An apple a day really can keep the doctor away" is true! According to the latest research,  an apple peel is said to build muscles, keep blood sugar levels under control and lower cholesterol


Since I'm on my GERD Diet Plan, I incorporate apple with the other food based on my food that are good to eat. If you want to try my GERD diet plan, why not. For me, it is a successful, healthy plan as diet is based on eating rather than depriving yourself from eating.


Day 1

BREAKFAST - 2 apples

LUNCH - 1 apple

DINNER - 3 apples

***every meal just drink 1 to 2 glass(es) of warm water



Day 2

BREAKFAST - An apple and Skim Milk

LUNCH - An apple and Green Vege Salad

DINNER - 2 apples

***every meal just drink 1 to 2 glass(es) of warm water






Day 3

BREAKFAST - 1 Apple, 1 slice wheat bread, scrambled egg (In my case, I need to omit the egg yolk, because yolk are not good for GERD person).  

LUNCH - 1 Apple and Salad (either vegetables or fruits)

DINNER - 1 Apple and Soup

***every meal just drink 1 to 2 glass(es) of warm water






Day 4

BREAKFAST - An apple and smoothie (I prefer banana smoothie)

LUNCH - An apple and Vegetable Soup

POST LUNCH - 1 Orange

EVENING SNACK - 1 cup Green Tea ( Because green tea are not good for GERD, I drink guava tea)

DINNER - 1 Apple and Vegetarian Lettuce Wrap (If you don't have lettuce you can use Chinese pechay)

***every meal just drink 1 to 2 glass(es) of warm water





Day 5

BREAKFAST - An apple and scrambled egg (as usual for me no yolk) 

LUNCH - An apple and Vegetable Soup ( I love pumpkin & carrot soup)

POST LUNCH - 1 peach or 1 banana

EVENING SNACK - 1 green tea (In my case, guava tea or blue teenage tea with honey)

DINNER - An apple and baked fish

***every meal just drink 1 to 2 glass(es) of warm water







Need to put a disclaimer here, apples are high in fiber and good for those who are suffering from constipation because of its natural laxative. However,  do not exceed more than five apples a day, and never give more that a couple of slices to a very small children. The first day of apple diet you exceed one apple, it's okay because it's  your first day.

Have a day off apples after you reach the 6th day. Enjoy a takeway, don't eat oily and spicy food. You can have a slice of cake, but make sure you don't undo all your good work. Still continue your exercise and especially those who have GERD problem like me, well, we need to strictly follow our treatment.

Falling in love makes you lose weight....according to what I've read in the internet, falling in love is the reawakening of a woman into whatever it takes to get pretty. When we fall in love our body changes for the better, for some it helps them to make it easier to lose weight, but for others like me..well, hoping for a motivation to be able to control my appetite just to lose weight, that is why others use other methods to lose fats and at the same time healthy.

I really had a problem in making myself back in my old shape again, the slender and firm body figure. I had two children and I don't think my body will ever be the same again.

Parties here and there means food here and there too! Right?  Don't worry there are simple and some easy tips that will help you beat your weight gain if you will religiously follow this it will make you lose weight in a week.

Drink Water




When you feel that you are hungry drink water. People sometimes mistaken thirst for hunger and I am guilty for that. Drinking water helps you feel full, before you go to a party why not sip a glass of water first to add volume and weight to your meal.


Count to 10




Craving last for 10 minutes.  So if you feel that you are craving for food just count 1 to 10, be busy for a 10 minutes break, instead urging yourself to eat why not write something or do a sense of accomplishment.


Eat more often 



As I said from my past post, don't SKIP MEALS. Eight every 3-4 hours with a Light Meal. This will curbs your appetite but help boost your energy, improve moods and even speed your metabolism.


Setting goals and weekly resolutions 




Be discipline enough if you set a goal. It's like that you are making your TIME MANAGEMENT. Every hour is precious, so make your time fruitful. Having a weekly resolutions, by eating at least one piece of fruits daily, every week will help you loss weight.


Add your meal with salsa



Here you can add SALSA to your meal because this spicy condiments can stand in for MAYO that deliver plenty of flavors without the FAT.

Easy with alcohol intake 


Alcohol is a source of calories, it has 150 calories for BEER and 85 calories for a 1 glass/125ml of a red wine. The more alcohol intake the risk of gaining weight.

TIPS:   

  1. Don't drink on an empty stomach. 
  2. Choose sandwich instead of crisps or chips. Or choose a chicken burger without a mayonnaise instead of kebab with garlic sauce.
  3. Avoid drinking rounds, studies says that drinking rounds can mean you end up drinking more.  Drink out at your own pace.
  4. And if your drinking WHITE WINE, add a splash of soda water to help lower the content.  A glass of a white wine has 77 calories.     


Bottom line here is that if you want to stay healthy for the coming year 2015 and you're trying to lose weight, STICK WITH WATER.

Getting off to bed and to drink a glass of warm water has been my ritual habit since for the first time I have experienced a blood pressure of 140/80.    Should I be concerned? I'm in my late 30's.

According to my Doctor I have a MILD STAGE 1 BP. It's not horrible, I don't need to PANIC. The easiest way to to bring it down is I have to strictly follow my Daily Balance Diet and to have a regular exercise and not to forget to DRINK WARM WATER in the morning.

Reducing salt intake and eat less fatty food. 

Risk associated with a high blood pressure is a HEART PROBLEM, that leads to STROKE or KIDNEY FAILURE.
