This accomplishment stands as a testament to the exceptional quality of their products and the unwavering dedication of their team. MPMG has set its sights on expanding its market reach in the future. The company has plans to specifically target Southeast Asia and the global market.

This milestone is a significant moment for MPMG. It represents a groundbreaking achievement for our brand and serves as a bold statement about the increasing influence and global potential of Philippine-made fashion. In less than a year, we have transformed from a local startup into a trendsetter. This success is a testament to our strong bond with youth and our talent for revolutionizing fashion through minimalist designs. We are more than just a clothing retailer; we are infusing the vibrant spirit and creativity of the Philippines into every fabric we weave. "This is not just about fashion; it's a movement," stated Kevin Co, CEO of MPMG.

MPMG is committed to further expanding its presence in the fashion sector and encourages customers to show their support for Philippine-made fashion. The brand is planning to introduce additional initiatives as it works towards redefining fashion norms, empowering young consumers, and making a significant impact in the global fashion market.

Uniqlo's strategic expansion plan in the Philippines reached a milestone in 2017 with the opening of its first branches in Mindanao. The highly anticipated launch took place on May 26 at SM Lanang, followed by another on June 2 at SM Davao Annex. This move marks a significant step forward for the popular Japanese clothing brand as it continues to broaden its reach and cater to the growing demand of its loyal customers in the region. The expansion of the well-known clothing brand signifies a significant milestone in its efforts to solidify its foothold in the southern part of the Philippines.

Uniqlo, the renowned Japanese fashion label, has been making waves. The brand has recently reopened its SM Lanang branch on July 19, 2019, after a two-year operation. The store has undergone a remarkable transformation and now boasts the distinction of being the largest retail space in Mindanao. Uniqlo's latest move is set to stir up a buzz among fashion aficionados and consumers alike, as the brand solidifies its foothold in the area. It is with great privilege that I have been extended an invitation to attend the auspicious blessing and grand opening ceremony of not one, but two branches.

As a fervent follower of fashion, I must confess my unwavering admiration for the brand Uniqlo. One of the noteworthy aspects of their clothing line is the exclusive use of 100% cotton fabric, which provides a distinct texture to their garments. This particular item strikes the perfect balance between comfort and style.

For those fashion-forward individuals seeking unmatched comfort, Uniqlo's Ultra Stretch High Rise Cropped Leggings Pants are an absolute must-have. Uniqlo's pants are a true testament to their unwavering dedication to both quality and style. With an impressive stretch that is sure to impress, these pants are a must-have addition to any fashion-forward wardrobe. Uniqlo's debut in my wardrobe was nothing short of a triumph as a contented patron. The art of crafting the ideal denim leggings lies in the meticulous attention to detail.

I also came across a plain pink Uniqlo shirt that caught my eye. This garment boasts a unique blend of 50% rayon and 50% cotton, making it a comfortable and stylish addition to any wardrobe. This summer, stay comfortable and stylish with the perfect wardrobe staple: clothing that is both cozy and fitting.

I wear the shirt during the reopening of Uniqlo Philippines at SM Lanang

I was fortunate enough to receive a stunning Uniqlo shirt as a gift from my beloved cousin Gwen, and I must say, I am absolutely enamored with it! Indulge in the warm and natural hues of the earth with U Crew Neck T Shirt in Brown, the perfect addition to your wardrobe.

Experience the ultimate T-shirt.  Elevate your wardrobe with our expertly crafted T-shirt. Featuring ribbing and volume around the neck, a meticulously measured body length, and elegantly draped shoulders, this is no ordinary tee.

Amidst the post-pandemic, I was cordially invited to attend the highly anticipated Style Talk Davao event. The occasion served as a platform to unveil the latest summer collection for the year 2023. Uniqlo's summer collection is a delightful blend of fashion and function. With a plethora of options to choose from, one can stay stylish and comfortable even in the sweltering heat. The collection is not only trendy but also informative, providing ample inspiration for summer wardrobe essentials.

We have the opportunity to purchase things from Uniqlo at the shop worth a total of P1000. I didn't know what to choose for myself, so I made a random choice and then picked the one that appealed to my taste the most.  And because I want a piece of clothing that I can wear not just during the summer but throughout the year, I go for things that are straightforward and easy to wear for day-to-day activities.

The Seersucker Easy Pants Brown have been my go-to choice for pants lately. The garment boasts a trendy stripe pattern, perfect for a laid-back and effortless look. Achieving long-lasting comfort and freshness is a top priority for many individuals. While some may criticize the look of these pants, the comfort they provide is of utmost importance to the wearer. Personal style preferences aside, the ultimate goal is to feel at ease in one's clothing.

In the pursuit of a stylish ensemble, I have elected to pair my Seersucker Easy Pants with the Uniqlo Ribbed Crew Neck Half Sleeve T-Shirt in a rich shade of brown. This top boasts narrow ribbing and a sleek silhouette, making it a versatile addition to any wardrobe.

This article is more than just a showcase of my collection of Uniqlo clothing. Some individuals may hold a differing viewpoint, arguing that Uniqlo's apparel collection is excessively expensive and exclusively targeted towards the wealthy. I must respectfully disagree with that notion. Uniqlo has undeniably cemented its position as a favored destination for fashion aficionados both Class A, B, C and D as well. Speaking of my Uniqlo wardrobe, I must admit that a significant portion of it has been generously bestowed upon me. Uniqlo's clothing line presents a cost-effective substitute for other premium brands that may not provide the same level of comfort after extended periods of use.

Ever since Uniqlo opened its branch in Davao City, I have been a loyal customer of their clothing line. One particular item that has stood the test of time is a cloth that I purchased from them. To this day, it remains a staple in my wardrobe. Uniqlo's clothing is incredibly versatile, suitable for both casual and formal occasions. It's a wardrobe staple that I find to be highly practical. The item in question exudes an air of sophistication and refinement that sets it apart from its peers.

As a blogger and a writer, it is with great pleasure that I share with you the news of Uniqlo's 'Thank You Festival'. It is a momentous occasion that deserves recognition and appreciation, especially for those who have been avid supporters of the brand. As such, I take this opportunity to express my gratitude to Uniqlo Philippines for bringing their exceptional products to Davao City. It is a testament to their unwavering commitment to providing quality clothing and exceptional customer service. Thank you, Uniqlo, for your continued dedication to your patrons.

In line with Marks & Spencer "LIFE, Spend it Well" campaign, a Mother's Day celebration featuring the story of a SUPERWOMAN: Joanna Lizares-Co. Having a successful career, a mother, a wife and a responsible daughter and a sister, doing this with all her heart without complaining and arguing.

In 2002, a Cebuana Joanna Christina Lizares-Co, 46, married to a Dabawenyo businessman Zosimo Co. She moved to Davao City in the same year and since then, Joanna has considered the city as her second home. The couple is blessed with two beautiful girls – Gianna Simone, 12, and Simmina Christina, 9.

A loving daughter that she is, she has remained in close touch with her family in Cebu even if it means regular visits to her father and siblings. On the average, she and her family travel to her hometown three times a year to bond with her brother and sister and friends. Her father passed away last December.

“I moved to Davao in 2002 and when I went home to Cebu, my time centered on my dad. Whenever my dad asked me to come home, I was there right away. Unfortunately, he passed away in December 2017, “.
“But I promised my brother and sister we’d continue to visit.” she said in an online interview.

Even it would mean being away from her Cebu family, her decision to join her loving and a very supportive husband in Davao City was just right and she never regretted it.

Although she admitted that her new base is somewhat “laid back” as compared to Cebu, this is what she likes most about living in Davao.

“It wasn’t so bad. I’m a homebody and my husband Sim made it quite easier. He had a lovely home and saw to it we would enjoy what Davao had to offer,” she said.

“Davao is where I have my two girls. I feel a sense of grounding here. Cebu may have been home to me, but this is where I want to stay for now.”
“My happy place is with my two girls and my husband,” she said.

HANDS ON MOM

As a Yoga instructor, Joanna has a tight schedule holding three to four classes a day. But this never affected her responsibility as a mother and a wife. She knows how to deal with this.

“I’m up at 5 a.m. Monday to Saturdays since my first yoga class is at 7 a.m.  Some time after, I check if my girls are up for school.  I teach 3-4 yoga classes spread out in the day so I get to go home in between classes or do my chores,” she said.

While at home, Joanna makes it a point to work on her other interests, spending an hour doing calligraphy, another hour practicing with watercolor or craftwork, another hour to write on her diary, journal, update her schedule.

“Dinnertime is with my husband and kids, where we talk about anything.  I cap off the day reading.  At around 10 p.m.  I’m asleep.  Weekends are with my girls and they have all my attention.  We play board games, do arts and crafts, go to the mall, watch movies, and eat,” she said.

They also travel once a year, a kind of family bonding that revolves around her two girls. “We get to be more adventurous only when Sim and I travel on our own,” she said.

It’s full of laughter the way she describes her relationship with her family.

 A CAREER WOMAN

It was in 2011 when Joanna started to practice yoga, which she describes as "a holistic approach to health, wellness, and mindfulness.”

She never expected to become a yoga teacher and just wanted to be good in it, basically the reason she took the Hatha Yoga teacher training program that was offered in Davao City in 2014. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT200) with Yoga Alliance and she is accredited by the International Institute of Yogic Science. Her 200-hour training was conducted by Tatva Yoga International under Master Dev Kapil.

This really just happened to fall on my lap…I simply wanted to do better in my yoga practice. But what do you know?  I immediately got an offer to teach at Holiday Gym Davao so I took the opportunity. It has been three wonderful years being a yoga teacher,” she confidently said.

Joanna is grateful she was introduced to such practice, which she said help her improve her well-being, her outlook in life, promoting healthy living which has become her advocacy.

On Joanna: M&S Collection stipe Bardot top & cotton stretch 7/8 trousers.

Yoga introduced me to mindfulness.  Just when I thought I perfected multitasking, I get shifted back to doing things one at a time. This mental practice of awareness and staying in the present moment has allowed me to even to manage my time better. There is a time for study, for hobbies, for work, for play, etc.,” she said.

Joanna wearing M&S Collection knot front top with treggings, cat eye sunglasses & navy bow pump.

“In my personal experience, its getting people to understand that there are no quick fixes.  We must allow the process to work and take place.  If it is slow, it’s more lasting,” she stressed.

HER FASHION SENSE

Joanna isn’t the shopaholic type, but for arts and crafts, she is one, making it a weekly chore. “For clothes? Only when I need to and when the occasion calls for it,” she said.

She admitted to be a classic dresser and does not sacrifice function for form or style this why she loves shopping at Marks & Spencer because the selections fit her fashion style.

“You won’t find me jumping on the latest fashion just because it’s the trend.  I have to like it a lot and be comfortable in it for me to wear,” she said.

What occupies her closet aside from, of course, yoga pieces? ”It’s shoes and bags!  Stretch pants, white shirts, cardigans, day dresses, sleeveless tops, scarves and shawls,” she said.

And a piece of advise to women out there who want to feel they have a complete wardrobe in their closet, Joanna has this to say: It should contain white cotton button-down shirt, a little black dress, dark denim jeans, white shorts, knit tops, black pants, printed day dress, plain sheath dress, blazer, black pumps, neutral ballet flats, metallic evening shoes, scarves, black tote.

LIFE, LIVING IT WELL

The way things are going for Joanna only prove the possibility of just she living life to the fullest with focus on improving it as a career woman, a loving sister and a responsible wife and a mother. And this makes her a happy person.

“It is a happy, healthy life purposefully lived.  At the end of my life, I would want to be able to say that with all the talents God has given me, I have multiplied it, and spent it well for the purpose given me. We only have one life, I do not wish otherwise but to live it full with my family,” she said

“I try to take care of my body, eat well, stay fit, and take time to meditate.  I believe that if I take good care of myself (mind and body), I can take care of my family and others better, and be more effective in the things I do.  I am not known to do things half-baked.  I get into something because I am passionate about it.  And when I am passionate in the things I do, I do well,” she concluded.

For almost a year, writing a blog post about fashion, it's all about female territory - - in fashion with a capital F. What we usually think of is that Fashion is for WOMEN and Sports is for MEN, but waking up and dressing in is not only for women, but also for men considering we need to see what works with the woman that doesn't work with a man.

The contrasting world of Women's and Men Fashion is not new to us. Unfortunately, what ever have said about the two is being misunderstood, comparing man and woman in general.

Now, let us combine the two -- MEN and WOMEN Fashion Worst advice you ever heard that you should know and avoid in the future.

DRESS DOESN'T MATTER. I know you usually heard this thing, especially if you are into fashion thingy.

It doesn't matter how you dress, what matter's more is who you are inside(your personality and attitude) that really counts.

Really? Well, it can boost up self-esteem especially if you are in doubt about what you wear or you feel uncomfortable wearing it but the truth is not that great.

How you wear your clothes well tell people who you really are. Remember the quote, FIRST IMPRESSION LAST, so if you are in an interview or in a fashion business, or in a gathering if anyone sees you how you project with confidence and you feel good about yourself, they will see you as a professional and have that positive view of your life.

Clothes you wear, a sign of what type of person you are!

BUY EXPENSIVE CLOTHES, IT IS MORE FASHIONABLE AND FIT YOUR SIZE. An exaggerated advice that is not true. There are clothing line that are not expensive but gives you satisfaction in terms of comfort and styles. What you need here is QUALITY clothes that are fashionable to wear but not that expensive.

TRENDING CLOTHES YOU ARE IN. After the size and the styles comes the TRENDS issue.  TRENDS are the lingua franca of Fashion, this is where you are called you "BELONG" if you're wearing what is IN and VIRAL in terms of FASHION. If you know the motto:
"What is very now can very suddenly become very then." But for my say here, even if you are not following what is trending as long as you are comfortable wearing your clothes it doesn't matter at all. Know your comfort, get that attitude.

Wear it with confidence, even if you are OUT of TRENDS.

I really hate this, LARGE CLOTHES MAKES YOU SLIMMER. I am one of the victims as well. I remember someone told me that if I wear large clothes it will give me a slimmer figure. Because of my writing and research I found out that large clothes don't make you look like you're slimmer they just make you look like you are wearing clothes that doesn't fit! Better know your sizes well and look for a good couturier.

Despite of desperate move and restless ebb and flow of trends about fashion, let us generally think that garments is admired both men and women.

The real purpose is not to clash the two genders but helping them to send messages by giving them right advice's that will work to boost self-confidence. Whether men will think they're hot or not, the real lesson here is that women's fashion holds for men too, so whatever worst advice you make it affects the whole... it's barely about us all.
