Maybelline Fit Me Powder Foundation Review: My 6-Year Beauty Staple at 50ish

After almost six years, I’m still reaching for Maybelline Fit Me. Here’s my honest take on the updated Fit Me 24HR Powder Foundation with SPF 44 PA+++ and why this longtime favorite still has a place in my makeup bag.




There comes a time in a woman's life when you stop chasing every makeup trend and start asking a much more important question:


“Does this actually work for me?” 😂


Because as a 50ish busy mom, I honestly don't have the time—or the patience—to spend 45 minutes doing my makeup just to go out and buy groceries, attend an event, meet friends, or run around doing a hundred things on my to-do list.


I want makeup that is easy, reliable, flattering, and doesn't make me look like I'm trying too hard. And that's probably why I keep coming back to one particular Maybelline product.

If you've been following GlamourholicMom, you already know that I'm a Maybelline fan. I recently shared some of my trusted Maybelline favorites in my "2026 beauty haul", and apparently, my love affair with Maybelline isn't ending anytime soon.


Because during my latest Maybelline shopping trip, I bought something that isn't new to me at all. In fact, I've been using it for almost six years.


Yes, six years. At this point, I think we can officially call it a long-term relationship. 😂





My latest purchase is the Maybelline Fit Me 24HR Powder Foundation with SPF 44 PA+++, an oil-control powder foundation designed to give a matte, poreless finish.

My shade: 112 Natural Ivory — a light/fair shade that works for my complexion and gives me a more even, natural-looking finish without looking too heavy.


And before anyone asks, “Why are you still buying this when there are so many new foundations out there?”


Because I already know this one. I've tried different foundations and powders through the years, but Fit Me is one of those products that I know I can reach for when I don't want to experiment. At 50ish, I'm becoming more practical with my makeup choices. I don't necessarily need the newest viral product. I need something that fits into my actual life. And Fit Me does.


Wait… Isn't the Packaging Different?


This was actually the first thing I noticed when I picked it up. The Fit Me powder I remember buying around three years ago had that gold-colored packaging. So when I saw this one, I had a little moment of:


“Wait… Did they change it?” 😂


I even asked the sales clerk about it. She confirmed that the packaging had been changed, which explained why my old familiar Fit Me looked different. So if you've been using Fit Me for years and suddenly find yourself staring at the newer packaging wondering if you're buying the right product—yes, apparently, you're not imagining things. 😂


The current packaging has a more modern, clean look, while still being instantly recognizable as part of the Fit Me family.


Why This Powder Still Works for Me


Let's be honest. My skin today isn't the same skin I had in my 20s or even my 30s. And my makeup priorities have changed too. When I was younger, I was probably more interested in experimenting, trying different looks and following whatever beauty trend was making waves.



Now? I want something that makes me look fresh without making me look overly made-up. That's where a good powder foundation comes in.


The Maybelline Fit Me 24HR Powder Foundation is formulated for oil control and a matte, poreless finish, with SPF 44 PA+++. Maybelline also describes it as offering full coverage and being non-comedogenic, dermatologist tested and allergy tested.


For me, what matters is how convenient it is. I can put it on when I'm in a hurry, build the coverage where I need it, and move on with my day. And that's exactly the kind of makeup a busy mom appreciates.


My “I Don't Have Time for This” Makeup


There are days when I have time to sit down and enjoy doing my makeup. And then there are days when I'm looking at the clock thinking:

“Okay, I have 10 minutes. Let's make this happen.” 😂

Those are the days when Fit Me earns its place in my makeup bag. A little powder, a little brow, mascara, lip product—and I'm good to go. It gives me that more even, polished appearance without requiring me to layer multiple complexion products.
For everyday errands, casual meetups, content days, and those spontaneous “Okay, let's go!” moments, that's exactly what I want.


Matte Without Making It Complicated


One reason I keep coming back to Fit Me is the matte finish. I'm not necessarily looking for that super-glossy, glass-skin look every single day. Sometimes I just want my face to look fresh and put together, especially when I'm out and about.


The oil-control aspect is also something I appreciate because living in the Philippines means dealing with heat, humidity and that inevitable “Why is my face suddenly shiny?” moment. 😂 You know what I'm talking about.


So when a powder can help keep that shine under control while giving me a more polished finish, I'm interested.


And Yes, There's SPF 44 PA+++


The current Fit Me powder foundation also comes with SPF 44 PA+++. For someone living in the Philippines, having SPF included in my makeup is definitely a nice bonus. But let me make this clear: I don't consider my powder foundation a replacement for my regular sunscreen. I still prefer having dedicated sun protection underneath my makeup.


I simply see the SPF in Fit Me as another nice layer of protection that comes along with my makeup routine.

And perhaps most importantly…

Six Years Later… I'm Still Buying It


This is probably my favorite part of this review. In a beauty world where we're constantly being told that we need the next big thing, there's something comforting about returning to an old favorite. It isn't some exciting new discovery for me.


It's the familiar one.


The one I've used for years.


The one I know how to apply.


The one I can grab when I'm rushing out the door.


The one that doesn't require me to wonder whether my skin is going to have a completely different opinion tomorrow. 😂


And maybe that's something I've learned as I've gotten older. Not everything has to be new to be good. Sometimes, the products that stay with us are the ones that simply fit our lifestyle.


My Take as a 50ish Mom






Would I recommend Fit Me to every woman?


I think makeup is very personal. What works beautifully for me may not necessarily work the same way for someone else, especially because we all have different skin types, preferences and coverage needs. But for my everyday makeup routine, Fit Me remains one of those dependable products I happily keep around.


I'm a mom.


I'm busy.


I'm 50ish.


I don't always have the time to create a perfectly sculpted, Instagram-ready complexion. Sometimes I just want to look alive, fresh and presentable before heading out the door. 😂 And if a compact powder can help me achieve that in a few minutes? Girl, I'm keeping it.


So yes, after almost six years, I've bought Maybelline Fit Me again. The packaging may have changed. The formula may have evolved. But my appreciation for this little makeup staple? Still very much here.


And apparently, my Maybelline collection isn't going anywhere either. Because let's face it… A 50ish mom can still have a little makeup obsession. 💄😂 And I'm perfectly okay with that. 😍

WOODEN ROSE ANGELFIT BRIGHTEN UP BLUSH by MAYBELLINE - REVIEW
Christmas malls are selling their products at a lower cost price.  They are bustling on a "YEAR END SALE" signs everywhere.
How to become a smart spender is to buy product after CHRISTMAS.

I should know that because I once have worked in a shopping mall and as for a savvy shopper they should know that some items are actually with a better deal if you shop after the holiday season.

I bought this for only PHp50.  Is that a big savings I get?  Yes indeed!  Because its original price is PHp270.

 And as far as I know about MAYBELLINE ANGELFIT Product it is exclusively distributed here in Asia and one of Maybelline's best products as well.

 So let us go with my review. ;;)

I am not fond of using blush-on with a brush, I already got my explanation from my other post that brush irritate my skin. I am more comfortable employing a liquid blush-on that you can easily drift into your face and off you go. 

 And some of the colors in a compact looks scary when you used it because they are so highly pigmented.

But I was wrong with this one. The LUMINOUS CHEEK BLUSH THAT NATURALLY BRIGHTENS UP AND SCULPTS YOUR FACE...is way different from the other compact blushes I've come across.
  • The radiant pearls and pure color pigments that diffuse light and highlight naturally complexion with luminous color.
  • Ultra blendable refined powders which is perfectly to your skin.
  • Expert brush that enables quick and easy application.
  • DERMATOLOGIST TESTED


 COLOR AND PACKAGING

Comes in a clear transparent pink plastic case with a tiny cheek brush inside the package. Small that you can easily bring wherever you go as long you need to look great! 

 The color is a mix of pink and peach. Pretty and natural that adds nice pinkish sheer and glow to your face as what you can read at the back of the product. It looks natural. 

 Though it is quite pigmented if you apply it many times on your cheeks. Just apply it once or twice, do not exceed you will look like a clown. :O):)>-


 POWDER

 The texture of the powder is actually excellent. Be careful if you happen to drop the blush as the powder tends to break and crack easily.

 BRUSH

Pretty love the brush it is soft and handy. As I used it, it never irritates me or give me skin rashes. =D>  ^:)^


Wooden Rose in a suggested retail price is expensive, but this is a top-notched product that most makeup artists and celebrities love MAYBELLINE blushes.


I don't regret buying it, though I get big savings from it. And yet if it will go back to its original price I will still buy it back.
