In a momentous occasion led by the esteemed Ms. Krystal Tecson-Garalde, the visionary CEO of Dear Self Aesthetic and Wellness Center, the team came together in a heartfelt and intimate gathering to mark the grand opening of the brand's remarkable 10th clinic.
Ms. Vivien Tecson-Cadivida, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of DS, graciously extended a warm welcome to all the attendees. We are delighted to have you here today and sincerely appreciate your presence as a part of our journey. "Today signifies the commencement of our Next Chapter," Tecson-Cadivida said cheerfully.
She also mentioned that change can be scary at times, but it is seen as a normal aspect of life that we should always welcome.

Mr. Kenneth Tecson, the owner, brand CMO, and campaign/project head, attended the event and delivered a heartfelt message to all the attendees.

Furthermore, everyone who joined the small celebration was invited to experience the Dear Self Pasig services firsthand while enjoying the celebratory banquet. A drip and facial party were prepared for everyone, plus the newest massage chair feature of the clinic from Gintell Phillipines.
“With Dear Self's newfound home, we promise to be true to our goal—making each one feel that we all deserve to be loved so we don't need to feel that we are noone,” Ms. Tecson-Garalde ended the event.

However, I couldn't help but notice that sometimes we have to apply a bit of pressure to get that fabulous formula to come out. So, I thought it would be great if we could explore a more user-friendly packaging option. Let's keep that flawless application effortless, shall we? Let's talk about the absolute fabulousness of having a pump bottle! Can we just take a moment to appreciate the sheer convenience and elegance it brings to our beauty routines? I really love the packaging of the Serum, but sometimes we can be careless in our daily routine. I have only one suggestion, which is to replace the glass with plastic. I understand that serum bottles are suitable for both short- and long-term storage.
Plastic serum bottles are advantageous due to their impact resistance and lightweight nature. On the other hand, glass serum bottles offer resistance to lab chemicals and provide optimal clarity. Both plastic and glass containers used for storage have the potential to affect the concentration of polychlorinated biphenyls in serum. What is the difference between having it in a plastic bottle and having it in a glass bottle if they're both good in terms of preserving its formula?
In fact, plastic bottles for serum are much cheaper than their glass counterparts. Large quantities are typically manufactured to help reduce the overall cost of materials. Most plastic containers are designed to withstand minor impacts without breaking or cracking. Make sure to use plastic that are 100% recyclable.

The use of sunscreen has a very straightforward purpose for me: to prevent my skin from becoming damaged by the sun. Because I think that damage from the sun is the primary source of early wrinkles and dark spots, especially on those of us Asian women, I try to stay out of the sun as much as possible.
If you read my previous post about Fairy Skin Premium Brightening Sunscreen, you'll know that I've been going through a sunscreen craze recently. For a good number of years, the only time I put on sunscreen was before going outside for extended periods of time, such as when I went to the beach or went hiking. Even when I'm at home, I protect my face from the sun by applying sunscreen.
My concern about developing hyperpigmentation, also known as dark sun spots, led me to conduct an intensive search for the most effective sunscreen products currently on the market. In the past, I always assumed that a higher SPF meant greater protection and a lower risk of sunburn for me. Despite the fact that this is partly true, I now have more options to consider when purchasing sunscreen.
These days, there are a lot of new sunscreen products on the market, and it's getting pretty crowded. My feeds on Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram have shown me a variety of different sunscreen and sun protection products. It's hard to say what will work for me because there are so many possibilities.
I began using a sunscreen with a sun protection factor (SPF) of 30 or higher. Since then, I've experimented with sunscreens with an SPF of both 50 and 100, even though I am aware that the latter does not offer a protection level that is as high as 50. Because the difference is insignificant, you must continue to reapply the product at the same time intervals every two hours.
In addition, I learned that there are two distinct types of sunscreen: chemical sunscreen and mineral sunscreen. These two categories are very important considerations to make when deciding what is best for you.
Chemical sunscreens contain oxybenzone and avobenzone. Wait 15 minutes before sun exposure for this sunscreen to absorb. You can get it as a lotion, spray, or stick at the drugstore or beauty store. Chemical sunscreens absorb quickly, so there is no white cast or rubbing. Keep cautious because chemical sunscreen components may be harmful when absorbed into the skin. Take your time to research the claim.
Because of this, I need to be mindful of the ingredients in any sunscreen that I apply to my face so that I may select the most effective one. Both Fairy Skin and Shiro are currently at the top of my list when it comes to my favorite sunscreens. Why? because they are both made of mineral ingredients.
In order to protect your skin from the sun, you should use a mineral sunscreen, also called a physical sunscreen, which sits on top of your skin and produces a protective layer that reflects the sun's rays. Mineral sunscreen is convenient because you don't have to wait 15 minutes before going outside, so you can use it as a primer and/or makeup foundation.
Mineral sunscreens, such as the one offered by Shiro Skin Care, are safe for use on coral reefs. Going to the beach while wearing a sunscreen that contains xybenzone and octinoxate is detrimental to the health of our marine life and should be avoided at all costs. This Shiro Whitening Sunscreen is a fantastic choice for people who have sensitive skin because it lays on top of the skin.
As previously said, I alternated between using Fairy Skin and Shiro sunscreens on my face. I'm not a cosmetics enthusiast, but I'm not willing to have a white cast on my face. SHIRO WHITENING SUNSCREEN has an SPF of 50, does not leave a white cast, is non-greasy, and works wonderfully under foundation. I received it last year as a gift from Dianne of Davao Food Guide during her Thanksgiving party.
I already said that most sunscreens are meant to be reapplied every 2 hours. I work online from home, so even if I'm not exposed to the sun's rays, I'm still exposed to the lights at home and the radiation from computers, which can also damage your skin.
In the end, sunscreen is about keeping your skin safe. If you don't like putting sunscreen on your face, try adding it to your routine slowly. In my case, I wanted to highlight the things that are important to me in a sunscreen. Find products that fit with the way you live. Besides Fairy Skin and Shiro, I also like Poly Beauty Tinted Sunscreen.

It's the time of year when we eat too much of all the food groups and treats we try to avoid the rest of the year (which, for me, just makes me want them more, even though I have GERD and can't eat a lot of things). Unfortunately for us, our skin doesn't love cakes, chocolate, cheese, coffee and alcoholic beverages as much as we do. So, if your skin isn't happy with the food you've been eating and is starting to look a little worse for wear, keep reading for tips on how to cheer it up and get it back to normal after the holidays.
We are, unfortunately, what we eat, so before you go crazy with detoxifying skin care products after a month of nonstop holiday indulgence, try cutting back on your diet a bit. Your skin will reward you if you make an effort to make your dishes look more colorful than neutral beige.
GO BACK TO (THE) BASIC
If you've been eating a lot of sweets, which, let's be honest, is quite impossible to resist during the holiday season—we're not judging—it's probably the reason why your skin is looking a little reddened and puffy. Antioxidants, which are commonly included in skincare products, have the potential to calm irritated skin and bring it back to its usual appearance in a relatively short amount of time. The use of skincare products containing aloe vera, vitamin E, or green tea will be effective. These are all ingredients that are high in antioxidants and have anti-inflammatory properties, which will help reduce the appearance of puffiness. They are available in a wide variety of forms.
I find that drinking juice made from fruits and vegetables is the most effective way for me to cleanse my body. However, because I have GERD, tomatoes are not on my list of acceptable food to eat.
It's important to replenish lost fluids after the holiday celebrations because overnights, alcohol beverages, and cold temperatures may all be drying to the skin. The hydrating serums in sheet masks establish a barrier over the skin, locking in moisture and making the mask an effective hydrator. High amounts of sugar consumption hasten the glycation process, which is just a fancy phrase for the breakdown of collagen in the skin, so a collagen-boosting mask wouldn't hurt!
In addition, it's important to replenish by drinking eight glasses of water.
And for my final suggestion, have your own at-home facial massage.
Spend 10 to 15 minutes massaging your face in an upward motion with an oil or cleansing balm to remove toxins and stimulate the lymphatic system.
