Modern Ethnic Touch by VESTI

Mindanao's uniqueness, abundant agricultural, rich cultural heritage and natural resources depicts the LIFE of a Mindanaonon.

Its uniqueness to another country is a row of a special thing that can single out from all others.  Like for example the FASHION INDUSTRY here in Mindanao.

It has long been a dream to show different side of Mindanao.  And this is it, VESTI was born, to showcase unique fashion creation, beauty and wellness of Mindanao Fashion Industry.

VESTI elevated the fashion industry of Mindanao to another level.  For me, the heart of MINDANAO is in the FABRIC and TEXTILES.  And this is where the idea of VESTI started.  Using the Mindanao Fabric/Textiles such as:

Vesti is clothing ethnicity using a modern touch.  Through indigenous fabrics and textiles woven by different tribes here in Mindanao and added the idea of putting some touch of elegance.  This makes the design as the next obvious choice.

Weaving is a form of art preserved through generations that we can take PRIDE of MINDANAO PRODUCTS.  Here is their NEW COLLECTION of BAGS using YAKAN TEXTILE WAVES:

  8. A good way to modernize (and maybe monetize positively) Filipino traditional art! If only a big-name designer could gain inspiration from these... then it may only be a matter of time before Pinoy cultural art goes global!
