As someone always on the lookout for the best beauty and wellness spots in town, my visit to Hanami Beauty Bar was nothing short of a delightful discovery. Nestled at Door 3 Sweetgift Bldg., JP Laurel Ave. Bajada fronting the old Davao Power Plant & beside SK Complex. It offers an oasis of tranquility and elegance that is perfect for those seeking to rejuvenate and pamper themselves.
Stepping into Serenity
From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted by a serene and welcoming atmosphere. The interior of Hanami Beauty Bar is beautifully designed, with soft lighting, elegant decor, and a soothing color palette that immediately puts you at ease. The staff were warm and friendly, making me feel right at home.
Pampering Services
During my visit, I chose to experience their soft gel nail extensions, regular pedicure, and lash extensions. Each service exceeded my expectations and left me feeling wonderfully pampered.
Soft Gel Nail Extensions: The nail technician was meticulous and skilled, ensuring that each nail was perfectly shaped and polished. The soft gel extensions looked natural and elegant, providing a chic upgrade to my usual manicure.

For soft gel extensions, they offer both Macaroon Set and the trending Korean Jelly Set nail polish. I decided to go with the Macaroon this time.

Regular Pedicure: The pedicure was a delightful treat, with flawless cleaning and polish application. It was the perfect way to refresh and pamper my tired feet. You can also try their Special Foot Spa for only P300—an ideal gift for Father’s Day!
Lash Extensions: The lash extension service was truly transformative. The technician carefully applied each lash, creating a full and natural look that enhanced my eyes beautifully. The lashes were lightweight and comfortable, giving me a glamorous yet effortless appearance.

I won't compare my experience with other beauty lounges that offer lash extensions, but I can confidently say that Hanami is more affordable while still using high-quality materials. Despite the lower price, the standard of their materials matches that of more expensive salons.

She's incredibly down-to-earth and approachable. She even bought pizza for her staff and clients that day, making everyone feel special.

Are you planning to get an eyelash extension at NEW LOUNGE Davao? I will be posting here a guide to the Do's & Don'ts of having lash extensions in New Lounge. But, before that I'm going to tell you a brief story on how I become one of New Lounge #LashDolls.
It was in the year of 2019, when Gen-zel Delas Alas, New Lounge PR Manager (she is now the New Lounge Mktg. Mgr) and one of my blogosphere friends, invited me to attend #NewLounge #LashDollDayDavao held at the Marco Polo Hotel Davao. And I was excited to received the message because knowing that I'm an avid fan of their official muse, Heart Evangelista. Plus, another thing is that it's my first time to personally meet Gen-zel and New Lounge Owner/CEO Ms. RACHELLE BRAVO.

Finally, on August of 2020, NÉW Lounge opens its first branch here in Davao City located at the 4th Floor Pink Walter Bldg., in between Lotus Hotel and Ice Giants, Quimpo Blvd., Davao City.
And following the NEW NORMAL protocols you need to have your own Personal Protective Equipment, this is to be worn on every scheduled appointment, this is for your own protection. So, always bring and wear your own PPE. NÉW Lounge has available PPEs that you can purchase for a minimal fee.

And before and after the scheduled appointment, there is a frequent cleaning of all the surfaces, as well as sanitation, anti-bacterial misting and you can also see their high-grade air purifier inside the lounge.
You don't have to worry because all lash specialist undergo a two-week safety training and are subject to medical screening prior to returning to work. They will hand you their medical certificate that they are fit to work. And not only that they also wear their own PPE.
Do's & Don'ts
1. You need to book for appointment by visiting the NÉW Lounge website. Remember, they don't accept walk-ins. This is to avoid crowding the space while waiting, that's why they also have this strict rule: NO COMPANIONS ALLOWED.
2. You will have to fill out a travel history and health screening form prior to your scheduled date.
3. Always wear your mask, aside from wearing the PPE inside the lounge. "NO MASK, NO ENTRY" Policy.
4. Someone from the NÉW Lounge will also contact you via your mobile phone and conduct a short interview. This is just a short survey on what you wrote in your health screening form.
5. Don't forget to bring your PPE ( if you already have one). If you don't have PPE, you can buy it at NÉW Lounge at a minimal price.
