When doing an AVANT GARDE makeup you have to get an inspiration. Open your imagination to get the design and concept you want to portray. Get ideas from any other sources like nature, movies, books, magazines or just your emotions for that period.
There are THREE STYLES of AVANT GARDE MAKEUP:
DRAMATIC - when you say dramatic all you need is to apply dark to smoky shadow over the eye lid.
COOL AND PLAYFUL - here you can choose any bright color eye shadow shades.

DARK OR GOTHIC INSPIRED - you start in the middle of the eyelid and going upward. Mostly they blend dark orange or red shadow into the lid and crease.

ReplyDeleteNot really a fan of Avant Garde makeup but I like seeing them from other girls esp. if it suits the event. Imagine a butterfly-like or fairy makeup. Can be enchanting! :)

ReplyDeleteThey look hideous, no offense meant but this kind of make up is only for halloween party. I don't think nobody in their sane mind will walk on the road with this make up or if they do, people will look at them like crazy. Tess
